Privacy Policy

FutCheer (futcheer.com) helps soccer fans find and host watch parties. The service is operated by Buzz Near Me, a sole proprietorship registered under the laws of India (“FutCheer”, “we”), which is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: support@futcheer.com.

Account — your email address and password. Passwords are hashed and managed by our authentication provider (Supabase); we never see them in plain text. Legal basis: performing our contract with you (providing the service you signed up for).

Date of birth — collected once at signup, used only to verify you meet our minimum age (16), never shown to other users. Legal basis: our legal obligations and legitimate interest in keeping under-16s off the service.

City — if you set one, used to show watch parties and matches near you, in your time zone. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.

Activity — your RSVPs, predictions, champion pick, and any reports you file. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.

Moderation and audit records — reports about content or users, moderation decisions, and an audit log of changes. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe and abuse-free.

We do not sell or share your personal data. We do not run ad tracking or profiling. We do not send marketing email — only transactional messages such as sign-in, confirmation, and account-deletion notices. If we ever introduce anything optional like marketing email, it will be opt-in consent.

We use essential cookies only: the session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, which is why there is no cookie banner.

Supabase (authentication and database) and Vercel (hosting) process data on our behalf; both are bound by data processing agreements. If a venue purchases a promoted listing, that purchase is handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record — fans never go through a payment flow. Match schedules and scores come from a sports-data provider and involve no personal data.

Our infrastructure is hosted in the United States. If you use FutCheer from the UK or the European Economic Area, your data is transferred to the US under our providers’ Standard Contractual Clauses, which are part of their data processing agreements.

Account data is kept until you delete your account: deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period during which you can cancel, after which your data is permanently removed. Moderation and audit records may be kept up to 12 months after account deletion, for safety and legal-defence purposes. Your date of birth is kept only as long as your account exists.

You can access and export everything we hold about you from your profile page (“Export my data”), and delete your account there too. You also have the right to correct inaccurate data, object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interest, and data portability. For anything not self-serve, email support@futcheer.com and we will respond within a month.

If you are in the UK you can complain to the ICO (ico.org.uk); if you are in the EU, to the data protection authority in your country. We’d appreciate the chance to resolve it first.

FutCheer is for ages 16 and up. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16, and we delete accounts found to belong to under-16s.
